daily life - wednesdays

Wednesday's at YWAM Perth
7:15-7:30 - All awake & enjoying breakfast at home.

8:30-9:45 - Worship with just our school. Kids there with us (see pictures below).
9:45-10:15 - Morning Tea Break with our class (about 20 of us) - a cup of hot coffee & toast or pastry!
10:15-12:30pm - Class time - each week we start with a new topic. This week's topic is Spiritual Warfare by Dean Sherman - it's been incredible teaching so far!! Seeing the teaching about the armor in Ephesians 6 in a whole new way!
12:30-1 - lunch
1:00 - home. showers for the kids, snacks, a little play time, Caillou (the American cartoon) is on from 1:00-1:15 so Jack enjoys that.
1:30-1:45 (lately this kids are so tired we lay them down earlier) - afternoon naps for kiddos!
2-5 - John has a moment of peace.
3:30-5:30 - Laurie has work duty in Media department
5:30 - John & kids head to base & we eat dinner. Some meals we've had lately: homemade MacNCheese, Chinese style meat with noodles in sauce (recipe by Lawrence our classmate from Singapore), pizza, spaghetti with an awesome salad of cucumber, feta, tomato, purple onion & vinaigrette and steaks with hot potato salad!
6:00-7:30 - park, head downtown, base event - like this Wednesday the whole base is going to the beach for a bbq! Fun!
8:00 - kids go to bed! John has Jack recite Psalm 23 with him - precious!
8:00-11 - relax. we read a lot lately! Showers & bed!

So there's a Wednesday! Something we've also been working on in our spare time is a newsletter - we are in serious need of financial support! If you or anyone you know is interested in being part of our missions call, please let us know!

The kids are with us for worship on Wednesday mornings (in our classroom) - Violet enjoys a moment being held by Uncle Ivan. In the background is Lawrence, in the foreground is Olav. We're having Jack call our classmates Uncle and Auntie (with their name attached). He already knows everyone's & is now using the proper Auntie or Uncle in front of their names. Our kids are blessed with lots of Aunties & Uncles...near & far!

The kids get disinterested quick - we bring lots of toys for them to play with. We also pick them up now & then & sing so they get what we're doing.

Figuring this all out - one day at a time
