New friends!
Just a quick post with some pictures of our new friends!
Left to Right: Ivan/Ichel (Ee-von, given name or Ee-chel, nickname) from Slovakia, Olav from Norway, Stanka (married to Ivan) from Slovakia & Bruno (given name is Brynjulf but he realizes we all can't pronounce it) from Norway. Each of these people are already friends & we are thankful for each of them!!
Beth from Iowa (now Canada) & Steve from Canada (Steve doesn't like his picture taken...haha!) They are vegetarians & always have this huge container of gorgeous cut-up fruit - Jack is naturally drawn to them, their warm personalities & delicious fruit (he LOVES fruit still) that they so willingly share!
John with Lawrence from Singapore. Lawrence has been pastoring a church for 14 years with no sabbatical...he's taking Discipleship Training School as his sabbatical! This picture is a little blurry so I took a second one but I love Lawrence's smile in this one - it absolutely lights up his whole face! They're enjoying the yummy bread & fresh coffee during the break. We get a whole tray of pastries for morning snack but the bread is so delicious here we all go grab a piece!
My much needed break - "Birdseed Bread", butter, apricot jam, slices of Cracker Barrel cheddar cheese & a cold glass of milk (with ice, like my dad)!
