Born soccer player?

The weather today was perfect! After dinner we went to one of the many parks within walking distance of our apartment. Perth is incredible for green areas/parks, they're everywhere! Jack is even starting to learn the names of the parks he likes! This evening we went to the one right across the street from our house & we took a few balls & Ninka & Natalka came with us.

Violet took one look at the way John kicked the soccer ball and that was it - she was running & kicking the ball. Ha! It was so hilarious to see this tiny little person dribbling a soccer ball instead of picking it up! She was moving so quick I never really got a good picture of her, bummer!

some snapshots...
You go girl!!

Natalka in the background. Violet with her beads on! Violet's hair is getting curly in back - she has little ringlet curls in back & stick straight hair on top (a little baby mullet, ha!)

Violet loves the girls & the girls love Violet!

Jack wasn't having quite as much fun unless he was off running alone - he pretty much threw a fit on/off for like an hour. John finally just took his picture. He's SO strong-willed lately. We're learning a lot of parenting "skills"!

You'd think it was like 100 degrees outside by the sweaty head but it was actually quite cool - he's just ALWAYS moving. Poor little one...rough day. I think he looks so much like his Pop (John's dad) - I bet I think that a couple times every day!

Please lift up a prayer for Jack - he's very much 2 years old & testing the boundaries in every area. He's such a smart kid, he amazes us everyday! He talks in detail about things that happened months ago! He's just needing a lot of discipline right now & we see that it works. We really want to "train a child in the way he should go"! We need wisdom!

CUTE STORY
An older man (early 80's) with the sweetest blue eyes was sitting across from us in the train the other day. He was chit-chatting with us & then out of the blue he said (pointing to Jack), "He has wild hair & sure feet, he will go places!"
Love it...what a great thing to claim over his life...he will go places for God! I looked up the definition for "sure" used in this context & it said, "destined"! Yep, we believe God has a plan for Jack's life & we're so excited to see each day that plan unfold!
