OUR AWESOME KIDS!

AWESOME is such an amazing (but overused) word.
To have AWE in something is really a fun way to express a feeling!
Awe is what I feel when I look at our two kids! Awe that the Lord would give us such a sweet gift to love & care for. Awe is what I feel when the little  expressions on their faces change by the second. Awe is what my heart feels when they need love, they need their mama or they just want daddy. Awe that this tiny person was knit in my womb by their Creator and He has a perfect plan for their life.
AWE...
just complete AWE!

–noun

Here are some new pictures of our AWESOME kids!

Jack is amazingly smart at figuring things out, building & putting things together. He built this whole Lego car & trailer...he kept building & building and making it cooler and cooler!

Love those little hands!!!

Jack is starting to figure out how cool Violet is! Ha! Lately they  play so well together & the other day Jack jumped up onto the table while I was feeding Violet and insisted on doing it...I wondered how it would work out but she LOVED it and giggled the entire time...but ate the whole container of squash!

I love the scene in Uncle Buck when the principle calls Maizy (the little girl), a "silly heart" and Uncle Buck defends that he doesn't want to know a little girl who's not a silly heart...Violet is a silly heart and her little smiling face will melt any heart...especially her dads!

A little ended up on her face...just enough to be absolutely darling!

"C'mon mom, seriously...leave us alone...we got this handled!"

Jean offered to pay half my plane ticket if I would come out to Nashville & visit her...um...no brainer...so I hopped on a plane and went to spend 4 days with her! It was a blast! Brandon was gone & John watched Jack & Violet! As you can imagine we did a LOT of talking and it was fabulous!

Of course we also acted completely crazy, laughed, shopped, ate & did I mention we talked a lot?

I have a bunch of amazing photos (will do a post just of time in Nashville) but this is my favorite! There was this huge airbrushed picture of Dolly Parton on the side a building and when I went to take a picture of it this little girls voice comes out of nowhere, "why are you taking a picture of her?" I explained it was Dolly Parton & she said, "why don't you take a picture of me instead?"...haha, so of course I did and hilariously she's nuzzled right between Dolly's large breasts! The little girl's mom was from Iraq and I ended up spending some time with her....long story...will explain later! But seriously, how darling is this little girl!? Maybe she'll be as famous as Dolly someday!

While I was gone John built Jack a tree house! Jack can totally climb up the ladder, over a branch and into his tree house...and get back down...it makes me nervous but he's so good at it!

"Up we go, up we go!" he says!

Blowing milk bubbles in his Quik cup!

Feeling the bubbles! Ha!

And...enjoying a cold "dink"!

So...that's why I think my kids are AWESOME...cuz they are!
